OTHER INFORMATION
Repeat Prescriptions Please allow 2 working days for us to process repeat prescription requests. We cannot accept telephone requests for repeats. We take written requests, repeat slips (attached to your last prescription) or fax requests.
Results Test results are available in the afternoons. If the doctor gives the receptionist permission, some test results can be given out to you over the telephone. However, in certain circumstances your GP will request that an appointment is made with them to discuss results and treatments with you.
Sickness Certificates You do not require a sickness certificate for the first seven days or less of any illness. For any illness lasting more than seven days you will need to make an appointment with your doctor so that he can issue you with a sick certificate, if appropriate. Private sickness certificates can be issued, there is a charge of £7.50 for this.
Registering with the practice You will need to fill out a purple registration form and a practice application form. It is important to tell us your previous address and GP as we can then register you with your unique NHS number. Once the forms are completed and sent back to us we will usually give you an instant decision. We will ask you to make an appointment for a new patient check, this is so we can get a background and history on you and to run some simple tests, ie: blood pressure etc.
